What Is Next Level Racing?

Next Level Racing (NLR) is one of the most recognized names in sim racing cockpits, seats, monitor stands, and motion platforms. Their lineup covers every tier of sim racer — from foldable entry-level cockpits to full aluminium profile rigs, motion platforms, haptic feedback systems, and dedicated flight simulator hardware. NLR is also an official partner of Scuderia Ferrari, with licensed editions across their cockpit and seat range.

At Full Push, we carry the complete Next Level Racing lineup shipped Canada-wide from Calgary, with no duties for Canadian customers.

How to Choose a Next Level Racing Cockpit

The single biggest decision when buying a sim racing cockpit is understanding what type of rig suits your space, budget, and how seriously you race. NLR's lineup spans five distinct cockpit categories — here's what each one is designed for and who should buy it.

Wheel Stands — Best for Casual Racers & Console Players

Wheel stands are the most compact and affordable entry point into dedicated sim racing hardware. They hold your wheel and pedals at a fixed position in front of a couch or gaming chair — no seat included. They fold flat for storage and set up in minutes.

Best for: Console sim racers (PlayStation, Xbox), casual drivers who race a few hours a week, and anyone who doesn't have dedicated space for a full cockpit.

Limitations: No seat, limited adjustability, and less rigidity than a full cockpit — flex can be noticeable with high-torque direct-drive wheelbases.

Foldable Cockpits — Best for Space-Constrained Sim Racers

Foldable cockpits are the sweet spot for sim racers who want a proper rig with a seat but need to store it when not in use. They fold down to a fraction of their deployed size and typically set up in under 10 minutes. Rigidity is good for belt-driven and entry direct-drive wheelbases, though high-torque DD setups may introduce some flex.

Best for: Apartment or shared-space sim racers, drivers who race regularly but can't dedicate permanent floor space, and anyone stepping up from a wheel stand for the first time.

Limitations: Less rigid than fixed cockpits, and repeated folding/unfolding means more wear on adjustment points over time.

Fixed Entry & Mid-Range Cockpits — Best for Regular Sim Racers

Fixed cockpits don't fold but offer significantly more rigidity than foldable options. They're the right choice for sim racers who have a dedicated space and race multiple times per week. Round tube steel construction is the most common build material at this tier — strong, affordable, and widely compatible with NLR's accessory ecosystem.

Best for: Dedicated sim racers with a permanent setup space, drivers running mid-tier direct-drive wheelbases, and anyone who wants a stable platform without the cost of aluminium profile.

F-GT Pro & GT Elite — Best for Serious Sim Racers

The F-GT Pro and GT Elite series represent NLR's mid-to-upper tier — rigid steel and aluminium-reinforced cockpits with direct mount wheelbase support, extensive adjustability, and full compatibility with NLR's Elite accessory ecosystem (monitor mounts, shifter arms, keyboard trays, button box mounts).

Best for: Sim racers running high-torque direct-drive wheelbases (Moza R12+, Conspit ARES 12+), drivers who want a permanent, fully-configured rig, and anyone planning to add triple monitors or a motion platform later. Upgradability is key here.

Aluminium Profile Cockpits — Best for Hardcore & Professional Sim Racers

Aluminium profile cockpits are the pinnacle of sim racing rig construction. Extruded aluminium profiles are stiffer, lighter, and more precisely adjustable than round tube steel — and they're the only cockpit type that remains truly flex-free under the highest-torque direct-drive wheelbases (Moza R21/R25, Conspit ARES 20). They're also the foundation for motion platform integration.

Best for: Competitive sim racers, iRacing league drivers, anyone running a 15Nm+ direct-drive wheelbase, and drivers who want a rig that can grow with them indefinitely via NLR's Elite accessory ecosystem.

Limitations: Higher price point and larger footprint — these are permanent installations, not something you fold away.

How to Choose a Next Level Racing Seat

NLR's seat lineup is one of the most extensive in sim racing. The right seat depends on how long you race, whether you want haptic feedback, and whether you prefer a fixed bucket or reclining design.

Fixed Bucket Seats — Best for Immersion

Fixed bucket seats hold you in a consistent, locked driving position — the same philosophy as real race car seats. They don't recline, which means your seating position is always repeatable. This matters for muscle memory and consistency in competitive sim racing.

Best for: Competitive sim racers, iRacing league drivers, and anyone who prioritizes driving feel over comfort during long sessions.

Reclining Seats — Best for Long Sessions & Comfort

Reclining seats allow you to adjust your backrest angle, making them more versatile for drivers who also use their rig for gaming, watching content, or who simply prefer a more relaxed seating position. The trade-off is slightly less positional consistency compared to a fixed bucket.

Best for: Sim racers who run long endurance sessions, drivers who use their rig for multiple purposes, and anyone who prioritizes comfort alongside performance.

Ventilated Seats — Best for Hot Climates & Long Endurance Sessions

If you run 2+ hour sessions or race in a warm room, heat buildup in a standard seat becomes a real comfort issue. NLR's ventilated seat actively moves air through the seat material to keep you cooler during extended stints.

Best for: Endurance sim racers, drivers in warm climates or poorly ventilated rooms, and anyone who has experienced discomfort from heat during long sessions.

Haptic Feedback Seats — Best for Immersion Without a Motion Platform

Haptic feedback seats integrate vibration actuators directly into the seat foam, delivering physical cues synchronized to in-game events — engine rumble, ABS pulsing, kerb strikes, gear changes. It's the most cost-effective way to add physical immersion to a sim rig without investing in a full motion platform.

Best for: Sim racers who want more immersion than a standard seat but aren't ready for a motion platform, and drivers who want to feel the car through the seat as well as the wheel.

Seat Add-Ons — Best for Wheel Stand Users

If you're running a wheel stand and want to add a seat without upgrading to a full cockpit, NLR offers dedicated seat add-ons designed to bolt directly onto their wheel stand range.

Next Level Racing Motion Platforms

Motion platforms are the most immersive upgrade available for a sim rig — they physically move the entire cockpit in sync with in-game physics, translating braking, acceleration, and cornering forces into real movement. NLR's motion platforms are designed to integrate with their Elite cockpit range.

Next Level Racing Monitor Stands

NLR offers one of the most complete monitor stand ecosystems in sim racing, covering single, triple, and quad monitor configurations in both freestanding and cockpit-mounted variants.

Next Level Racing Flight Simulator Hardware

NLR has a dedicated flight simulator lineup for MSFS, DCS, and other flight sim titles.
