The Ascher Racing Pro Black Edition is a 300 mm closed USB steering wheel in an all-black finish. It is built on Ascher's McLaren Artura esports wheel, with components from a real GT4 racing steering wheel and ergonomic rubber grips.

Which wheelbases does it work with?

Ascher says the wheel runs from any PC mainboard by USB, so it works with almost every common wheelbase, including Simucube, Fanatec, Simagic, MOZA, Leo Bodnar and OSW. It uses a 6 x 70 mm bolt pattern and has an internal USB-C port for passthrough quick releases.

Does it need a power injection or a battery?

No. Ascher rates it at a maximum of 500 mA, within the USB specification, so no power injection is required. It is a wired wheel that connects through the included short coiled cable with a Binder connector.

What is the difference between the Pro and Ultimate Black Edition?

Both share the 300 mm rim, the over 100 inputs, the Gen6 magnetic paddles and the analog clutches. The Ultimate Black Edition adds an integrated 4-inch touch display with 21 RGB shift LEDs, while the Pro has no display.

Do I need a quick release?

Yes, you mount the wheel to your base with a quick release. A wheel-side quick release is not in Ascher's box list, so choose the one that matches your wheelbase. Ascher describes its 6 x 70 mm bolt pattern as made for universal mounting.
