The BDH Active Shifter is a force feedback H-pattern shifter built on the BDH H1 Bazooka chassis. A high-torque servo reads live SimHub telemetry, so you feel engine vibration, gear grind on a missed clutch and torque retention under load through the lever.

Does the BDH Active Shifter do sequential?

No. The Active is H-pattern only and isn't dual-mode. BDH's sequential options are the S1 (dedicated) and the H2SQ (dual-mode).

Do I need SimHub for the Active Shifter?

Yes. SimHub is required for full functionality. Once connected, it works plug-and-play with automatic configuration for supported games, so there's no manual setup per title.

What does the Active Shifter simulate?

Using live SimHub telemetry, it adjusts resistance dynamically and simulates clutch lock-out, gear grind and torque feedback through the lever.

Can I upgrade my H1 or H2SQ to an Active?

No. BDH says there's no upgrade path, because the Active uses a new internal mechanism and control system, and each unit is individually built, tuned and programmed.
