The CDP Quick Release is Conspit's Formula-inspired wheel connection for its ARES wheelbase ecosystem. A CNC-machined 7075 aluminum clasp carries the torque, a ball-lock holds the wheel in position, and spring contacts carry the wheel's signal through the hub.

Pick one up to fit an extra wheel for quick swaps on a CDP-equipped ARES setup.

Key Features

  • Formula-inspired locking: the clasp handles torque transmission while the balls control fore-aft positioning. Splitting the loads this way improves precision and durability.
  • CNC-machined 7075 aluminum clasp and ball-locking mechanism.
  • Stable wired signal: integrated spring (pogo-pin) contacts keep the connection reliable, even around electromagnetic interference.
  • Zero-play durability: optimized contact geometry resists wear under prolonged high loads.
  • Lightweight: 224 g.

FAQs

Does the CDP quick release fit the Conspit 310 APEX?

Yes. The CDP quick release fits the 310 APEX directly, with no 50 to 70 mm adapter needed, so you can run the 310 APEX on an ARES 20 Platinum CDP.

Can I use a 70 mm PCD wheel with the CDP quick release?

Yes, with the optional 50 to 70 mm adapter. The CDP mounts directly to wheels with a 50 mm PCD (3 x Ø5 mm).

Is CDP compatible with CDR?

They're different quick release systems. CDP is used on CDP-equipped ARES bases such as the ARES 20 Platinum CDP. CDR bases use the CDR wheel-side and wheelbase-side units.
