FAQs

Is the 21 Nm rating peak or sustained?

MOZA says the R21 Ultra's 21 Nm is sustained torque, not a short peak. The base is meant to keep full output through long endurance sessions without throttling, which keeps the feel consistent lap after lap.

What motor does the R21 Ultra use?

MOZA fits a new zero-cogging flat-wire motor with a 21-bit magnetic encoder (2,097,152 PPR). It aims for very smooth rotation and fine detail from small steering inputs through to heavy cornering loads.

How do I mount it?

The R21 Ultra supports front, side and bottom mounting, with an optional adjustable bracket. At 21 Nm it suits a rigid cockpit or a solid wheel stand better than a desk clamp.

Does it have safety features?

Yes. MOZA lists hands-off protection that centres and steadies the wheel if you let go, plus intelligent thermal management with real-time temperature monitoring. An optional emergency stop switch plugs into the base.

Can I turn off the RGB lights?

Yes. MOZA says the two RGB light strips are cosmetic and telemetry-driven, and you can customize them or turn them off. Force feedback processing runs locally on the base, so the lighting does not affect performance.
